1. Sales: To work with the Trade Sales Manager and other PPW sales staff to meet or exceed monthly budgets for the department.
1.1 Customer Contact: Ensure all clients are treated as valued customers of ZIP Hamilton in line with the ZIP Vision & Values statement.
1.2 Provide product solutions that are appropriate to the customer’s needs.
1.3 Ensure that all quotes, follow up, purchasing and sales completion are as per PPW procedures.
1.4 Product Knowledge: Maintain a high standard of product knowledge appropriate to the department, including mandatory participation in product knowledge seminars provided by relevant experts.
2. Margin: To maintain or improve profit margins through applying correct PPW processes.
2.1 Utilise existing customer pricing structures loaded in our software system.
2.2 Ensure that lowest possible supplier purchase price is utilised on all quotes/sales and corresponding purchase orders.
3. Customer Relationships: Achieve strong and positive relationships with all departmental clients of PPW.
3.1 High standard execution of the quotation, ordering, invoicing and supply processes.
3.2 Professional and friendly interactions with all ZIP customers.
3.3 Actively engage with ZIP customers to gain feedback on ZIP performance and product ranges, in conjunction with the Trade Sales Manager.
3.4 Liaise/Co-ordinate supplier product training for customers where relevant.
4. Internal Relationships: Work with all other staff of PPW in a positive, proactive and professional manner for the betterment of the PPW business.
4.1 At all times work with other staff as part of the ZIP TEAM in line with the vision and values of ZIP.
4.2 We are one team and there is no “I” in team.
5. Stock: Manage stock levels of Trade Department SKUs within budgets set. This includes:
5.1 Reviewing individual “non-allocated stock” reports and actioning as appropriate.
5.2 Completing rolling stock-takes when scheduled.
5.3 Process all supplier returns and customer credit paperwork in a timely manner in accordance with company procedures.
5.4 Ensure that all stock ordering is in line with company procedures.
6. Health & Safety: Ensure that you are fully aware and compliant with all PPW H&S policies, procedures and directives.
